<b><u><span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">Day 7: Mirror Effect</span></u></b></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">I realize that my oldest has been in three of the last 4 posts, but oh well! I will get the other two here sometime, I'm sure! Today's pic was supposed to be "mirror effect", and even though I know what that means (i think) I thought this was a better idea.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">Ever since this child was a day old I have heard that <i><b><u>" She looks JUST like you"</u></b></i>! Our baby pics do look almost identical, and yes I agree she looks a lot like me. I pray every day she will do better than me in all aspects of life though... well, I got a really great husband, so maybe not all, but at least as well! ;) </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">I hope and pray that she is a spiritual giant compared to me, a <i>way better</i> mom, someday, and a better wife, and the list goes on and on. She has a lot of her Dad's personality traits, but as any good first born she is still a people pleaser, unlike her Dad who cares less what anyone thinks of him. And 5th grade can be such a drag for that pleasing people thing!</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"> As we struggle along, together, through this age and all the changes and trials that come with it, I pray every day that we will only get closer and stronger in our relationship to each other and to the Lord most importantly. I am trying to encourage her to lean on Him for everything, and He is teaching me the same lesson through her. I love her and can hardly wait to see the little woman she is becoming... if we survive to tell about it! ;)</span></div>

<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Day 4: Hair</td></tr>
</tbody></table>
So here are the days that I missed while out galavanting at sporting events for my very active children, over the weekend. :) That is a terribly long sentence and I apologize, but onto the task at hand.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiszEwteGnYwWlTYDwIwE_WdD-SxCE0JMjdFN3IbjWireF_ahS8aGY50rFooCgZCNuyz0jfhS_9gkbLus0cdBDy3Idno-XLe2jZa6T_vP0UH02QC2g2nJQRDUubap63SleOB3p-tDMiySLK/s1600/IMG_20130505_085444.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"> </a> </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
They are backwards on here, but we will just work our way backwards, because frankly I am to tired to even try to fix them, and yes I am aware that it is only 9 o'clock at night, and yes, I am aware that this is indeed another very long run-on sentence, again. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<span style="font-size: large;"><u>Day 4 was "Hair"</u></span>... I don't think I really am following the rules real well for this challenge, as a lot of my pics are not of myself but... this is my deal so I will do what I want! :) Ms. Briann and I manage to fight over this head of locks nearly every day. She doesn't like to do ANYTHING to it, and some days it is a battle just to get her to brush it. May 13th we have an appointment to get it cut, and we both have agreed that it is going to be fairly short, and something that needs little to no work. I am also caving and getting a couple of highlights put in for her. Crazy to think that my little "non-girly" girl wants them <i>so bad</i>, but hey sometimes they throw you a curve ball! Might have to post another one later of the new do... she is super excited about it! Worried about the other little 5th grade girls teasing her about it, but excited non the less. I fully understand the saying "5th grade girls" now... and am hoping Sydney can skip this grade all together?! The cattiness that goes on is <i><b><u>cRaZy</u></b></i>!!<br />
<br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><u>Day 5 was "Funny Face"</u></span> She is the queen of those in our house, and this was just a prime example I already had on my phone. :)<br />
<br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><u>Day 6 was "Eyes"</u></span> Couldn't help it with this one. It was the first really really beautiful day this spring, making it all the way up to 68 degrees with the sun shining and no wind. If you have ever lived in the Fargo area, or visited, or even driven through, you know that it is ALWAYS windy here, so no wind is a big deal!! I had three soccer practices to be at that night and had my shades firmly in place the minute I left the house. Thought the pic was appropriate for the night.<br />
<br />
So now I am once again caught up... well almost. Today is technically day 7, but that is another post that I am going to do as soon as this one is done. So I will be done now :)Katiehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14313995332245238406noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6063029029681183296.post-78493272226820224722013-05-03T20:29:00.000-07:002013-05-03T20:29:05.015-07:00Day #3 Young<div style="text-align: center;">
I wasn't sure what to post for this, but then Christa told me about this cool app to help me get my Instagram pics onto my blog!! <b><u>So awesome!!</u></b> Now if it is a Black and White day, my pic will be in B&W! Gotta admit I was more excited about this than I probably should have been :) Thanks again Christa!!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
So, I was scrolling through all my Instagram pics trying to find one that would represent <i>"young"</i>, and came upon this one from just last week. This is the newest Block family member... the <i>"youngest"</i> if you will ;) Bauer is such a cutie and although I am not sure he looks a lot like a Block he probably is built more like one! :) I love that Cody seems to be his favorite. Cody can get him to giggle, and so far I think he is the only one that has made him belly laugh for so long. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Cody waited and waited for a boy cousin on the Block side, then Brody came along and now Bauer! He is so excited, and it is so fun to watch the little boys follow him around and laugh at him. I can't wait till they are a little older and can all play hockey or football together... but then again, I love little boys when they are <i>"young"</i> and will be still even for a little bit and cuddle. :)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh2wQGaEsaP-nVLqnMbFyY9UqFhPOu1Q8W1s8R4eKuTknWCFB3-cNFXU9yTaDOZwPUXLh1MJ-lp-cgXJoS-yw-h9Oidzlimdh_ww76hmAygULSnE7DknbNRwmBTlB3wLpGqK7S1VFSByeaU/s1600/IMG_20130422_164519.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"> <img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh2wQGaEsaP-nVLqnMbFyY9UqFhPOu1Q8W1s8R4eKuTknWCFB3-cNFXU9yTaDOZwPUXLh1MJ-lp-cgXJoS-yw-h9Oidzlimdh_ww76hmAygULSnE7DknbNRwmBTlB3wLpGqK7S1VFSByeaU/s640/IMG_20130422_164519.jpg" /> </a> </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
So don't be alarmed if I don't blog the next couple days... at least tomorrow. I am NOT giving up! Just have to be out of town for a volleyball and a hockey tournament. I will post my pic to Instagram tomorrow and then hopefully I can post twice here to catch up either Sunday night or Monday sometime.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Thanks for the comments, and for following this little journey. I can say, I have honestly missed blogging. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Talk to you all again soon!!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Later gators!</div>

Today was a little different than most of the days I have had of late. Today, I took time out of the usual busy crazy running that has become our life to just sit, and enjoy my littlest. Miss Syd was sick today... she woke up with a really high fever in the middle of the night, and it continued all day.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
The best part about her being sick, other than that she felt pretty good considering how high her fever was, was that it gave me the day at home to bake cookies, clean, and most importantly snuggle and nap with my baby. As I sat with her sprawled out on my lap, I was thinking about how fast time flies. Seems like just last week she was a little chubby red-headed baby lying on my chest sleeping like she was today. Now she is six years old, and covers most of me, is in Kindergarten, but still has those sweet blue eyes, and that red hair. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
So, today is</div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
day #2 of my photo challenge and it was "B&W". If you look on Instagram it is in B&W, but this chic can't make it be that way on here, <i>soooo </i>here was the pic I chose for today. Imagine it in B&W! My baby, sleeping soundly with her bunny and blanket on the couch.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: center;">
Have a good night!! Sleep good! :)</div>

<br />
I recently joined Instagram, and have seen a couple of these photo challenges for different months. I have always wanted to do one, but with our crazy life and schedule I decided I probably wouldn't be able to ever keep up with it. Then tonight I decided that I needed to at least try it!!<br />
<br />
I need to take more time out to take pictures, to enjoy the days and not just rush through them and try to survive the hot dog dinners on the way to someones practice. <i>(I know I totally just grossed out Anna with the mention of hot dogs... he he!) </i>We had a fire recently at the shop Jalon owns with his dad, and it has made me realize how much we take for granted the time given to us and the people He has placed in our lives, things and circumstances can change in an instant!<br />
<i><br /></i>
SO, off we go on this photo challenge! I am going to do it on Instagram, (<i>katiemart7</i>) and here on my blog. So follow me on Instagram, if you have it, or check back here once in awhile. I gotta have someone looking at them to make it worth it right... and not just Briann who will like all my pictures cause she is my daughter and has too.... or a lot of her friends who like a lot of my pictures?!?! Kinda weird, but whatever!!<br />
<br />
So the first day is a "selfie" <i>(kids and their ghetto talk these days!)</i> So here it is:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj32UKTn8IxXcfU_pmyObEKQVwQd0y4RvwXkG8rP2oEN11KtLSz1eEqgxU-doUbkbC2BVi0WH-JhwRgUkSwbB6UP4-CKEKZM15kDu6MGZOeHJe-cqBoDuBj0xzzH7TBE8Q-xRp6iP-Q0yyC/s1600/selfie.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj32UKTn8IxXcfU_pmyObEKQVwQd0y4RvwXkG8rP2oEN11KtLSz1eEqgxU-doUbkbC2BVi0WH-JhwRgUkSwbB6UP4-CKEKZM15kDu6MGZOeHJe-cqBoDuBj0xzzH7TBE8Q-xRp6iP-Q0yyC/s320/selfie.jpeg" width="240" /></a></div>
<br />
In my typical spot these days... sitting in my Sub waiting for kids at some activity or another. I want to point out my freshly waxed eyebrows to mom, and let everyone know that I hate pictures of myself... just for the record!<br />
<br />
Have a great night! Tomorrows pic, I hope, is much better!!<br />
<br />
Out!<br />
<br />Katiehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14313995332245238406noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6063029029681183296.post-25734320121458893692013-02-14T13:44:00.001-08:002013-02-14T13:44:22.618-08:00Happy Valentines Day<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh4OB81dmmJ6LCQPKN_rLE8y2pik0sgwNmHGxrNp0Vm3k83zFwxiMZHwrbb3WDfz7dKNKwiMy1xGDK-PKogqYpV7VHlALwEHCWI7bdBHJCeT4kOOJwdeG71mk_N6DyaK3cfxeoZz3Lrz0bT/s1600/IMG_9046.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh4OB81dmmJ6LCQPKN_rLE8y2pik0sgwNmHGxrNp0Vm3k83zFwxiMZHwrbb3WDfz7dKNKwiMy1xGDK-PKogqYpV7VHlALwEHCWI7bdBHJCeT4kOOJwdeG71mk_N6DyaK3cfxeoZz3Lrz0bT/s320/IMG_9046.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Before the festivities can begin, I need to brag just a little bit. I know the Bible says we are not to be proud, but I am a sinner saved by grace.... so just this once ok?! </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
This little lady sang a solo in church on Sunday morning. It was part of the verse and some of the chorus to the song "Live out Loud" by Steven Curtis Chapman. I put a video up on my Facebook page if you wanna check it out in action.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I asked her if she was nervous the week before, and she told me that for her it was harder to sing in front of the kids, and not so much the adults so she wasn't all that nervous about singing. I told her that was good cause there wouldn't be a lot of kids listening... only 1500 adults or so. To which she rolled her eyes <i>(which is SO common these days)</i> and said "Mom you are so NOT encouraging"!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I try :)</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
But onto the subject of the title!! <span style="color: red;">Valentines Day!! </span> I love holidays, any of them really. And although this one doesn't rank up near the top for me, it is still fun. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b><u>I love by food.</u></b> </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I think it has something to do with Grandpa Wally stopping by so often for coffee. At least that is what I am going to blame it on. ;) Whenever Grandpa would drive in, my mom would start a fresh pot of coffee and pull out some sort of goodies. It happened whenever we went to Grandpa and Grandma's house too. Grandma always had some sort of cookie, or bar, or Schwann's ice cream treat handy. These are great memories from my childhood and to this day, as soon as someone shows up at my door, I start thinking about what treats do I have?! </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I don't drink coffee, amazingly, but I do have a bit of a sweet tooth!! I usually have a candy dish filled somewhere, like the pic below, but homemade treats always are better!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj18iEzqwSEOpd8R0RVoJiCPr6mp-IO-NcQdp3xydMtNxdwO-Sm76S9NMwjU4uVGmkLD08K1WLoQMZXpU0lI5rPtC5ex6onYJGmNAOOTIQlwPKQYieHa6I2MnPPQhsb_WBOiSesASmH7mLf/s1600/IMG_9054.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj18iEzqwSEOpd8R0RVoJiCPr6mp-IO-NcQdp3xydMtNxdwO-Sm76S9NMwjU4uVGmkLD08K1WLoQMZXpU0lI5rPtC5ex6onYJGmNAOOTIQlwPKQYieHa6I2MnPPQhsb_WBOiSesASmH7mLf/s320/IMG_9054.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I digress, sorry!! </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Onto today. First of all we had french toast this morning... my favorite. A little selfish, but the kids seemed to enjoy it anyway.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Since the kids aren't allowed any treats in school anymore, I decided we should fill up at home instead. So to the kitchen I went. First there wasn't enough oatmeal left for Monster cookie bars, so I made Chex mix instead with the Valentine colored M&M's I had for the bars.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhnf7cNcICyuIEa89XVgRUZz2vOCg_ZGN9L2pFy_DKSk1KmyR0TtDDkFf0p0cS-kcw4wdQNAUDMY8pFOVriE50pFIFhipM8q3csHioT6Hm7rvDSLmb5cT1TD9lWAQowRsjZnWkPGOhuGTYy/s1600/IMG_9058.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhnf7cNcICyuIEa89XVgRUZz2vOCg_ZGN9L2pFy_DKSk1KmyR0TtDDkFf0p0cS-kcw4wdQNAUDMY8pFOVriE50pFIFhipM8q3csHioT6Hm7rvDSLmb5cT1TD9lWAQowRsjZnWkPGOhuGTYy/s320/IMG_9058.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Then I remembered that one day a couple weeks ago as I stood in the baking aisle at the grocery store I decided I was going to be more like Jilly Willy and bought some very pretty Valentine day sprinkles. Not something she probably even has in her kitchen, but I was trying to channel some of her baking prowess. You should see the sugar cookies this girl comes up with. She should own her own bakery. <i>(I am volunteering for taste tester if you ever do k?!) </i></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Anywho, I decided some special kay bars with sprinkles weren't quite as pretty as Jill's sugar cookies, but more like me, fast and easy, and I can make pretty well if I do say so myself! (pride again... I know, I'm working on it!!)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhLNoPJNEFaY3Z_-_83OXm7Mv_Ucg2QX-anLo981ZJE4zTVcvK3BC3i8ExX8QZ1KrGhjeNQk5GA3ZMh3gYB9Zzk5E4YxXW0rd8_gtP-0jnt289GVL7c6jo1meLUYWg0rjTN4PINyETvVgLj/s1600/IMG_9056.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhLNoPJNEFaY3Z_-_83OXm7Mv_Ucg2QX-anLo981ZJE4zTVcvK3BC3i8ExX8QZ1KrGhjeNQk5GA3ZMh3gYB9Zzk5E4YxXW0rd8_gtP-0jnt289GVL7c6jo1meLUYWg0rjTN4PINyETvVgLj/s320/IMG_9056.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
So Happy <span style="color: red;">Valentines Day</span>, let's hope I am not big as a house the next time you see me!!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
And if your in the neighborhood stop by, I have fresh treats, and might even be able to make you a cup of coffee.... if I can find my 2 cup coffee maker! ;)</div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">Surprise, I am blogging again!! :) My last post was such a hit, ( I got THREE comments) I decided to do another one. That and my oldest had a birthday, which gives me a good post subject! ;)</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">Briann Marie is now 11 years old. I don't know for sure how that happened so fast, but she is. I remember her birth I think the best because she was my first, and probably the worst labor of them all. Mainly it was my stubbornness that made it bad, but let's not tell her that. To my pregnant friends... get the epidural!!! :)</span></div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">Sorry, too much info... I know! Anywho, I remember mostly food about that day, Jalon had an omelet that morning, a pizza sometime during the day, and a cheeseburger from McDonalds very late the night of the 9th. I could not eat in case they had to do a C-section and was dying. Then the next morning after she was born, I remember that someone forgot to order me breakfast. I was starving after a day with no food, and then my sweet sweet sister in law/ cousin brought me doughnuts! Jill was my lifesaver that day. I don't think I have eaten a glazed doughnut since then and not thought of how good the ones tasted that she brought me that morning!! </span></div>

<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">Briann was my only bald, and sorta blond baby, but had the same bright blue eyes the day she was born that she has now. She looks a lot like me, and acts a lot like her daddy! She hates mornings, and stays awake for hours at night. Is a daredevil, and will try anything her father suggests. Briann is a tough cookie and has a strong competitive spirit on the soccer field. I always wonder what happens to my sweet, innocent little girl when that black and white ball is thrown in front of her ;) </span></div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"> She is fast becoming a young lady, and has the sweetest heart. She reminds me to look out for the down and outers, and to show the love of Christ, no matter who the person is! I love that she does that, and doesn't care what kids think of her. I can hardly wait to see what she will grow up to be, who she will marry, and what she does next! But for right now, I am so happy to just watch the day to day growing of a young lady who loves the Lord. My prayer for her is that she keeps her desire to know more and more about Him, and that she will grow up to be a godly woman with a heart after our precious Lord Jesus!</span></div>

<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><span style="text-align: -webkit-auto;">Hello Blogger world!! I am back :) After a long hiatus I am back to blogging.... and the only one to read this will be Jenny! Yep, awhile back your husband ratted you out about being a wee bit frustrated with yours </span>truly and my lack of blogging. So this one is for you "yenny"! ;)</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">This December we made a sorta spur of the moment decision and headed out to Vegas to meet some old friends. They say old friends are the best, and they are right. We had a blast, walked a lot, ate a lot, and laughed a ton!! All of it was fun, and we hope it doesn't take the three boys another 10 or so years to get together again... I don't think it will, but just in case any of them are reading this.... DON'T!</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">See these three (below) have been friends since I don't even know when. They have gotten in trouble together, had more fun than they should have together, and all have matching scars from... I am not allowed to tell! They have encouraged each other, prayed for one another, picked each other up, helped some move cross country, laughed at each other getting hurt and passing out, and even after ten years apart, picked up right where they left off! Within 3 minutes of meeting up, they were shocking each others arms and faces with a shocking thingy and laughing their heads off at each other! I would say best friends, but it doesn't seem to quite cover what they are, more like long lost brothers.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">Needless to say the 5 day trip was to short and they are texting each other and planning the next trip already. </span></div>

<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><br /></span><div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">We had a blast walking the strip, shopping at the many "Cowboy Christmas" conventions, watching the Tournament of Kings dinner show, and just hanging out and laughing. The days flew by and then it was back to reality and the craziness that comes around the Christmas holiday. It was a fun break in the midst of the season and it is always nice to get away with my hunny for some "us" time.</span></div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">So thanks for reading Jenny, I am hoping that I can get back to the blogging world on a more regular basis, I really have missed it. I know you are dying for updates on our little lives here on the prairie ;) Love ya!!</span></div>

It was AWESOME!! </div><div><br /></div><div>See it all started way back on opening weekend (as any good<i> northern girl</i> knows I am referring to opening weekend of deer season ;) ). See it was way back then in the beginning of November that Mr. Philip Oommen proposed to one of my favorite people on this earth... my favorite sister ANNA!! :D As you can tell I was super excited, and very honored that Phil had called and asked me to be there for the big weekend! Anna had no idea so it was even more fun!</div><div><br /></div><div>So all of that brings me to last weekend. The girls and I made the trek to the cities and met Mom, and Sarah, and of course Anna, and went dress shopping! Super exciting!! We had a lot of good laughs, some good lunch, and we finally found a dress.... just when we thought all hope was lost! :) It was fun and we made some great memories. </div><div><br /></div><div>It is really fun getting to watch things come together for such an important day for someone that you really love! Anna is one of those people in my life that knows probably more than she should about me, and I love her all the more for it! I look up to her (even though she is younger, and <i>not</i> because she has me by at least 4 inches!), trust her with anything and everything, and don't think I can go more than 3 days without talking to her! I am <b><i>so so</i></b> happy for her and Phil, and can't wait to be there for the big day!! But in the meantime, I am going to enjoy this planning time and probably drive her absolutely insane with all the ideas I have! ;) </div></div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiVyChAG34CuxY-jVsIHZz6l6zbjLuXYDbTuj0SutkzbMOrT64z23T0rwdz_6dvqZtfaYErN5daLzArnxnF48AK-OktUeGfhKCoHbEBY9EcEdaJwkVGkzLR9UMToLiW7pJRJhIn_ODcwbHB/s1600/IMG_6872.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"></a><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi4b3oIpV8V_P0XdD20gu6JY8gX_whFGJpeKA_jVF0zm6tpnHMN2dxZCngUThe6hoCBQI0fWRu7b4Ce97fP44LZJKiVKg2UE9xEGUwMhCEA1Fn9WTbhiL59CQlHsnSjlRP_HDdHUAP01Lq_/s1600/IMG_6852.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 214px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi4b3oIpV8V_P0XdD20gu6JY8gX_whFGJpeKA_jVF0zm6tpnHMN2dxZCngUThe6hoCBQI0fWRu7b4Ce97fP44LZJKiVKg2UE9xEGUwMhCEA1Fn9WTbhiL59CQlHsnSjlRP_HDdHUAP01Lq_/s320/IMG_6852.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5703938261506235954" /></a><div style="text-align: center;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size:85%;"><i>Anna and the girls before we started the hun</i></span><i><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size:85%;">t</span></i></div><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 214px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj5NtmMReeDRye7AU0M59RcPyQDSIPTrs22q-hW3d-sGxciBeXj0EA_ip_ym2_jY_x1d072rllPDbV6r3J4T0R8Pye-5C0luai6yNodnsx2W4R9f_Hi9C_VeGhKMPVKz-VXzpWwFZdqrLbb/s320/IMG_6853.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5703938257939452514" /><div style="text-align: center; "><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size:85%;"><i>Mom working her magic finding dresses. It was a little confusing as we have always told her that her birthday is after the snow comes. There is no snow this year, and she wasn't to sure it really was time for the big day. Also, I had her party the next day and not on her actual birth-DAY. She celebrated that day by getting to go to Grandma's house, playing dress up with her cousins Elly, and Lydia, and getting to eat doughnuts! <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_1">Auntie</span> <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_2">Jeshanah</span> is the best!! :) But she did tell <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_3">Jeshanah</span> that she wasn't five until she blew out the candles... guess we haven't explained birthdays very well around here! Whoops!</div><div style="text-align: center;">The next day we had the family over for the big party! I say big cause there are a lot of us when we get together... although I can't imagine it any other way coming from a large extended family myself! I asked Syd what she wanted to have for the meal, and she replied "<span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_4">um</span> I think we should have mashed potatoes and gravy, Chinese food, and Subway!!" <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_5">Um</span> yeah, we didn't!! I finally, after much negotiating, talked her into <i>just</i> Subway, and then I went the cheap route and just bought the fixings for sandwiches at Sam's Club. :) </div><div style="text-align: center;">She had a great time, and was super excited about all of the presents she got. The only bad part was the morning after the party <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_6">Jalon</span> was asking her if she liked her presents from mom and dad. Sydney looked at him and said what presents? At this point I had one of those embarrassing mom moments... I quickly said "oh just a minute, I think they are still upstairs". Yep, I forgot to wrap or <i><b>GIVE</b></i> our presents to my baby on her birthday!! <i>Mom of the year award nominee</i> right here thank you!! Although after I finally got them to her, she did tell me that I got her exactly what she wanted... not even sure she has ever told me she wanted the things we gave her but I will take it as a compliment after spacing so bad!! :)</div><div style="text-align: center;">Hard to believe that she is 5 already. She is turning into such a big girl, who is super excited to start Kindergarten in the fall. I always ask her what I am going to do without her here to talk to and she promises that she will always come straight home after school! I plan on reminding her of this when she is 16! ;)</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size:130%;">Happy Birthday <span class="Apple-style-span" style="color:#cc33cc;">Sydney Elizabeth</span></span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size:130%;">I love you, my little sweet pea pea</span></div>Katiehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14313995332245238406noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6063029029681183296.post-32156067500920591762011-12-13T18:39:00.000-08:002011-12-13T19:23:13.263-08:00The Crazies<div style="text-align: center;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color:#0000ee;"><u><br /></u></span></div><div style="text-align: center;">So it is that time of year again... that crazy crazy time of year when half of the family has a birthday, and we celebrate the Lord's birthday too! Yep tomorrow is Sydney's 5Th birthday, Christmas is 10 days later, and then Briann has a birthday on the 10Th of January. Scatter in a few extended family birthdays, a Christmas program at church, and all the shopping I still have to do, and you can understand why I go a <i>little</i> crazy this time of year! Good thing I have lots of cookies and diet Pepsi to keep me going! ;)</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">We did manage to get our annual Martinson Girl Christmas Baking day in already, and had a blast doing it! Lots and lots of treats are now in my freezer and on the counter tops, and maybe a lot in our tummies already?! I let the kids skip school this year for the event, although Cody decided that he needed to be in gym for the floor hockey championship game, so he got out after half the day. Like I have said many times, that one is ALL BOY!! :) I forgot my camera that day so go visit my mother-in-law's site to see some pics of the day, festivities, and of course the loot! <b>myronandkathy.blogspot.com </b></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">On another note completely unrelated to anything above, <b><i><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size:130%;">I got a new computer!!</span></i></b></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size:100%;">Yep, I have been working for my hubby at the shop as they have been super swamped... <i>obviously if he is having me do work there!</i> And my payment was a new computer! It is an iMac with a 27 inch screen. Yep he was with me when we got it and his motto always has been "<i>go big or go home"</i>! ;) </span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size:100%;">I am still figuring it out but so far I love it! It doesn't turn off while I am working on it, it doesn't decide to re-start whenever it feels like it, and it doesn't freeze up randomly. The screen even stays on at all times and doesn't flicker off and on! It is amazing!! When I start really playing and find all the cool things it can do I will let you know... mostly cause I know that you are all waiting with baited breath to hear about it! :) </span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size:100%;"><br /></span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size:100%;">I will be back soon, hopefully with pictures of my brand new big 5 year old. Life is probably about the same as always, but I will still update you all on it! In the meantime I am just glad that I figured out how to get back in to my account and post anything!! Turns out I have another email account that I didn't know existed and that is the one that my blogger account runs through! And for me this winter had been very very long! I don't know why, but it just seems to be dragging on forever, and my favorite time of the year will never get here it seems!! Regardless of the temp outside, inside my humble abode I have been thinking a lot about spring cleaning. I haven't gotten farther than thinking, but I did mop today and in the spirit of spring cleaning I had to break out my Pine-Sol! <div><div><br /><div>Normally I use my trusty environmentally friendly Norwex mop. Just a little hot water to get the pad wet, and <em>wallah</em>, I have a bacteria free floor! And if you have a floor that needs to be mopped as often as mine <em>should</em> be, you need a good mop! <em><span style="font-size:85%;">(notice I said should... it gets done <strong>not</strong> that often! Which is why it deserves a blog!)</span></em> I love it. Only thing is that I am a <strong>smell</strong> person. You know the kind that has to <em>smell the clean</em>?! <img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 214px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 320px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5588214879688039970" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgNZLZkvdMvCdNDcZjF28VqGksENXQVoxQ9rUv-GvczgtJvqBHJEZc-gj26MYq622VzYATYX7UR10acWgxFosBHW0gwS0UAzlup0bfITz9xUWeVfoY3w_QhoLLKwTkk-F6EyR1lmTxkSzHN/s320/IMG_5366.JPG" />So today, I broke out the Pine-Sol for some clean smell in my house! It reminds me of great memories at StoryBook in the summer, and the clean clean bathrooms and Dining Hall after a good mopping! OK so they probably weren't that clean, but they always smelled clean! I know all you die hard Norwex girls are cringing and saying that when my whole family gets ADD, cancer, and Bubonic plague I am gonna regret the Pine-Sol, but for today, well my house smells really really clean. And I <span style="font-size:130%;color:#ff0000;"><strong>LOVE</strong></span> it!! :)</div><br /><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 214px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 320px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5588216628110261010" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhd81yVoA0RwxCIhk1ZJ73gF5HYAVVTGWLujspBrroE8VH3-aTTKHJUODWrLivoGA4N0QR4rlPZaRBCUlwuwcYXzmeMAzL2WYs3xt-p8xArjUnfWcApIwWIXdnlwV7Mfm5e29W2qIRRCfNj/s320/IMG_5365.JPG" /><br /><div>This is the living room where all the chairs became a train for this little lady to play and sing on. We broke out the <em><strong>" Joyful Joyful Sunday School Songs"</strong></em> and danced and sang. I had to take a quick picture, cause as soon as the kids or the dog or I go through they won't look like this!</div><div><br /><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 214px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 320px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5588216612708455634" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEieIfHdGmO6jySCS8xhv9_5Q7UGlK9lhCByr_hJ6Kpsq9OC9w7-wauZTi-2YR9yN_kQECoNtmKW1JEIW06vgQFoe9pA2YmTLqlUbqsXhj57tUNR0KuaztS9SL8nkXPU_N2J_0FDlqu-BZ7X/s320/IMG_5361.JPG" /><br />So happy <span style="color:#33cc00;">Spring Cleaning</span> everyone. I had a granola bar during pics. (I wish people had to remind me to eat now!) I remember my mom telling me to put on more lipstick, repeatedly. I remember Jalon's grandma Erma refusing to get out of the car when she discovered that she had on the same dress as my mom! She eventually did come in... after mom went out and told her to! HA!! I remember Anna's hair cause I loved it so much, and her being in tears about it.... the curlers were left in two minutes too long, and if you know Anna's hair, well lets just say her nickname as a little girls was <em>"curly shirley"</em> for a reason! It was a beautiful hot mess of curls in a ponytail! I loved it!! </div><div align="center"> </div><div align="center">I also remember Jalon saying I do, and us putting our rings on the wrong hands! I remember not being able to find my coat as we were leaving and putting on Jalon's leather coat for the cool ride to the reception. It is today my favorite picture of the day. Us getting into the pickup with me in his jacket. I also remember my very social butterfly of a husband <em>(I am being sarcastic here!)</em> whispering to me as they announced us at the reception, "how long do we have to stay?"!!</div><div align="center"> </div><div align="center"><strong><em><span style="font-size:130%;">10 years</span></em></strong> is a long time, and yet such a short time! The plan was to stay in town watch her musical at 4 and then head to the cities following the program. Mother nature had another idea and decided that a huge snowstorm should roll into the cities that morning and make <em>this</em> little mama miss the big musical! I was NOT, <em>I repeat </em><strong><em>NOT</em>,</strong> a happy camper about the whole deal, but B had lots and lots of family in town for the event and lots of support! Thanks again to all of you for filling our void!</div><div align="center"></div><div align="center">She did amazing from what I have heard, and I got lots of text messages and even videos on my phone on our way to the airport. Lucky for me I saw most of the play at some of the practices they had that week before, but poor Jalon has to settle for the video, and pictures that we have. I don't have one here of her in her full costume <em>(which was cute, adorable, and hilarious)</em> but i will try to post one sometime soon. She was <strong><span style="font-size:130%;color:#6600cc;">Lily</span></strong>, a giant talking flower in the <em>"Land of the Giants"</em>, who's best friend is <span style="color:#33ff33;">Birdie</span>... the girl in white next to her here!<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhq4ML0Ylc4c9qqnW7LEfLdIOeJWe12TIYceVUMrtOlUpSZR2CWEg751mOWjhiD72u66NnDmLaaVcmQ4iw_iTBjhjx1m_KdLeaWqsDbb6i4BeeFVuGWdGdURlO2wKw0Tm3JhYXjaz_WSYHg/s1600/Jamaica+003.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 214px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5581482379307981746" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhq4ML0Ylc4c9qqnW7LEfLdIOeJWe12TIYceVUMrtOlUpSZR2CWEg751mOWjhiD72u66NnDmLaaVcmQ4iw_iTBjhjx1m_KdLeaWqsDbb6i4BeeFVuGWdGdURlO2wKw0Tm3JhYXjaz_WSYHg/s320/Jamaica+003.JPG" /></a> She had a lot of fun with it and can't wait for next years production... although she made me promise that we wouldn't plan a trip within two weeks of it! :)</div><div align="center"><br /></div><div align="center"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgsqkaK1iq__QVFyJ_lzHxBZnMvI909W9_ntRW5FTX3ptIIenEazbVw7wCVRzBiLj81THztip25nQIzUhC_qkkWmbW_hD-m8g_07nM4sVvIaTht9w9uruKmQJaj0WYINEdeOMCKL2imlKTL/s1600/Jamaica+025.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 214px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5581482369367087730" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgsqkaK1iq__QVFyJ_lzHxBZnMvI909W9_ntRW5FTX3ptIIenEazbVw7wCVRzBiLj81THztip25nQIzUhC_qkkWmbW_hD-m8g_07nM4sVvIaTht9w9uruKmQJaj0WYINEdeOMCKL2imlKTL/s320/Jamaica+025.JPG" /></a> This is the whole cast in their Land of the Giants baseball shirts, hats and shades for the Church service mini performance they did the morning of the musical. My deck was completely covered with snow and was deep! It was below zero for a few weeks in a row, and then .....<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj9cORfvdNRir9LRRkqOqEFzZZA2cBz1WJ847STxX6Q4dUsxOSQk9GydeBl0O3_ykJEA2RIDYiN3GjWnr0yzvd4OHFjg3ooiAlwkrSPUfmpsNN8oCr314Ut5LzWL7-8aiKYaGsbm1QXDvW7/s1600/246.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 214px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5574395211530975538" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj9cORfvdNRir9LRRkqOqEFzZZA2cBz1WJ847STxX6Q4dUsxOSQk9GydeBl0O3_ykJEA2RIDYiN3GjWnr0yzvd4OHFjg3ooiAlwkrSPUfmpsNN8oCr314Ut5LzWL7-8aiKYaGsbm1QXDvW7/s320/246.JPG" /></a> ...it warmed up!! Look I have grass showing!!!! The snow is melting and it has been in the high 30's and even in the 40's lately!! I am so so loving this weather!! Feels like spring is on the way, maybe the groundhog was right this year!<img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 214px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 320px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5574396319827054562" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh-ydj8KkGjdmrSN-YVJQiX7yZ3L8CDUHlIwu7iEpkjMy4D-hoiz68Lh1OfCGeJ0gNsPPRkrJjEn6gncj_56-igDFcB7vO0uMnpLw4pkB6tj8voxwNulTl2nCMLtPMzQEj8vR1qS6QxhmgQ/s320/spring+001.JPG" />The only thing that worries me is that we are going on vacation, and the lady at the store the other day overheard <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_0" class="blsp-spelling-error">Jalon</span> and I talking about leaving, and told us we would be back just in time for the <span style="color:#3333ff;">flood</span>! NOT what I wanted to hear! They are once again predicting unusually high water this year and encouraging people to get flood insurance. Not the most reassuring thing when you live fairly close to the river! :( </div><div align="center">I think it is supposed to be cold again next week so hopefully the flood doesn't hit till long after we get back! :)<img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 214px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5574396327264547746" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi2bRameDLgPLg-PN6eUXJ0jZJLRbzZrJFpVNbZWSV1A7HJgrht968Pn-o_y3wdeRqi7gxPJi0LyFxssd9LK5-6gIhsuLaZxylcHE2taNPvPezcXVPkGuPy3Er-Lzt8-MNuR0g_8guWsF1M/s320/spring+003.JPG" />This is Bella, my other baby! She is sitting where Sydney was sitting on my deck just a couple weeks ago. She too is loving the weather as it means that she can go outside more often and run ...which is <em>her</em> favorite thing to do! :)</div><div align="center"> </div><div align="center">Here is to hoping that <span style="color:#33cc00;">Spring </span>comes quickly... but not to quickly that my house floats away! :)<br /><br /><br /></div><div></div></div>Katiehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14313995332245238406noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6063029029681183296.post-44260162153228836862011-02-05T14:28:00.001-08:002011-02-05T15:01:46.693-08:00Miss B<div align="center"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj8NPcYplwFB3M-ETls0rac4bB1t-EtamR4EibrSAvaEVNeFpQXKZ8_hXQHkqdiBj6woVXkHFdG-nhUbFcQzCv-IQwzkmoWWP6Wh2YrJ_vMOOertOqBAvaaVM42yoBA6aaC54lV6AtK_DOI/s1600/276.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 214px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5570338594844477138" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj8NPcYplwFB3M-ETls0rac4bB1t-EtamR4EibrSAvaEVNeFpQXKZ8_hXQHkqdiBj6woVXkHFdG-nhUbFcQzCv-IQwzkmoWWP6Wh2YrJ_vMOOertOqBAvaaVM42yoBA6aaC54lV6AtK_DOI/s320/276.JPG" /></a> So I promised a birthday post on <span style="font-size:130%;color:#3333ff;"><strong><em>Miss B</em></strong></span> so here it is! My first baby is now <span style="font-size:180%;"><strong>9</strong></span> years old!! Hard to believe that, but she is! She was a surprise to say the least, but now looking back I can say that she was the best surprise of my life. God had different plans than we did, and as always His plans are/were greater than ours. </div><div align="center"></div><div align="center">I have heard from the day she was born that she looks just like me, but I have to say that this girl is pretty much all her father! She is the first to try anything dare devilish, and I know will be my first one in a cast!! She is a perfectionist in most things <span style="font-size:85%;">(<em>except her hair much to my dismay</em>),</span> and likes to be in charge, :) and loves soccer and music! She says that she wants to be a K9 policeman, or a vet, or work in a zoo, but isn't sure about the last one cause the zoo here in town <em>"isn't big enough"</em> for her and she plans on living here with us her whole life with all of the dogs and puppies she wants! <em>(I figure we will cross that bridge when we get there!! ;) ) </em>She can be very caring, and sweet but can be a bit rough and tumble too! Most days lately (it seems) have been below the doughnut, as our weatherman likes to say! When you figure in windchill, well it is usually in the 20 below zero ranges! Cody's newest line every morning is "is it below the zero mom?" because if it is 20 below or colder, the kids don't get to play outside at school. They haven't played outside for awhile!<br /><br /><br /></div><div align="center"></div><div align="center"><br /><br /><br /></div><div align="center"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 214px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 320px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5569875755242000802" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjKWiNWx0cA2X2fVwswtoJsb3GUo7N310Qwd-OJnRye-TTX1LjdHNi9SQ0XtRNxbxqlmx5wkgbZIdJd-i_isUlRzgIXX4yPno1ybd4Vkdge5597vbZbvU_cwOhCEnCPwiB95O8FS6gVO_Ti/s320/242.JPG" /></div><div align="center"><br /><br /><br /></div><div align="center">But yesterday, it was actually above the zero, AND the sun was shining!! It was gorgeous, and although it is only February it felt a little like spring was in the air! It got up to about 23 but with the wind it only felt like about 17 or 18. After a couple of weeks of -20's and -30's it felt wonderful!! Kinda sad I know, but i will take it! Made me want to start planning my flower gardens. :)</div><div align="center"><br /><br /></div><div align="center">I have been wanting to take the kids to the many outdoor skating rinks they have around town, but everyday I could it was so cold that I knew we wouldn't last more than 10 minutes. So yesterday we packed up and drove about 7 or 8 blocks down the road to the one closest to our house to skate! The kids loved it and skated till dark. Only bad thing was that we were doing homework after bedtime, but only a little so it was worth it! And everyone popped out of bed this morning, which normally doesn't happen around here, and <em>especially</em> on mornings after a later than normal night! They begged all morning if we could go again tonight, and since it is supposed to get up to 30 today we just might! Of course Monday the high is again -5 and windchill in the negitive teens, but for today i am happy about the fore casted 30, and may even pop into a greenhouse later today! :)</div><div align="center"> </div><div align="center"> </div><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 214px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5569880166067221634" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgP1VbnjBEFmqqT9sPuLG4TOTxOKBBGJkPn-yfLa3Cz3oVHrHVePjRrDQOEwQLMKKp8Od0LElEb53lGsvFKxlwG0Qwd7oZmWzg4qFrTNat0ocmL-tIh1IAm0BYgHTmWTFz-MBqW99ZtmiXS/s320/291.JPG" /><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 214px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5569880172987047106" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjP9xe9Giy0a-ifDKzlESudSfq1H91zAM0Dj3ZUVGSyu6wpOC3LomoWyY8P_JSuId0-1-XZ7-GFlpa8Xli9sFL72Fjwk1ZPzQaZy4mM_jIytZcgxuzuCU7xPkY0eMQJbRWQui0sxr_fwJwW/s320/296.JPG" /><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 214px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5569880179393241058" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj_hm2fRlwrnbh9AA7zKvmXbZjXXDPMcnQ2jxEHEjeCVKHb9gWqnAlfNV1SzDv-qOupfIQ9VK0PXOnm3-oH5wmBY8AhtE4cT6JPKXvdND0bbzWd0PDuOcqoeOk2nSUFkRbjPi9aBpyZLwlK/s320/294.JPG" />Katiehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14313995332245238406noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6063029029681183296.post-9505185701682837102011-01-19T17:38:00.000-08:002011-01-19T17:56:12.572-08:00Back Again!<div align="center">So I am sorry, once again I have been MIA from blogger world, and I know I know I have missed <em><strong>A LOT</strong></em> of big events, and holidays! Long story short, my computer has issues!! BIG issues!! In fact it is still having issues so there will be no pictures with this post, and I hate not having pictures with my posts! I am coming to terms with the fact that technology, and I don't get along. I think you all should start too... don't expect much from me!</div><br /><div align="center"></div><br /><div align="center"> </div><div align="center">I have missed Christmas, although I don't have a lot of pics cause once again i forgot the charger for my camera, and it died the second day we went to my parents! There aren't a lot of those happenin's but some are sorta fun.... hope you all think so, if not I guess you don't have to read this! :)</div><br /><div align="center"></div><br /><div align="center"> </div><div align="center">Any who, just wanted to let you all know that I am back... not fully back, but back sorta. I will be in touch, if the technology in my house doesn't <strong><em>electrocute</em></strong> me first! ;)</div><br /><div align="center"></div><br /><div align="center"><span style="font-size:180%;color:#6600cc;"></span> </div><div align="center"><span style="font-size:180%;color:#6600cc;">Happy Wednesday!! </span></div>Katiehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14313995332245238406noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6063029029681183296.post-51802401409324636802010-12-13T19:29:00.000-08:002010-12-13T20:12:38.507-08:00Sydney Elizabeth<div align="center">So I was sitting here thinking tonight what post I could do about my soon to be <strong><em>4 year old</em></strong>, and all I could think was... "the year she was born I was <strong>so SO</strong> organized and ready for Christmas!!" I also think that it was by far my most stressful and tiring Christmas too, <em>but man</em> was I organized!<br /></div><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 240px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5550383852359754450" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjY9oj7rJgoh3Wnq44fCK4SWo1Y4um1tys7PKVYvRUIHiCysPSMF4ZmiIoH4e-ZrB7Lm1GGH6KilOd8p72nUkfEgkp9tQFwWecR_ymbUEsQdCcGI4D6U_1te0X_gbeZC4yVUYdwx9y7vUJt/s320/121908+005.jpg" /> <p align="center">Yes, 4 years ago tomorrow afternoon right around 3 o'clock my baby was born! She was the best Christmas present I have ever gotten, and continues to keep me on my toes, and laughing every day! Her and I are home all day together for the next couple years and I plan on enjoying my one on one time with her!<br /></p><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 240px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5550383860174680498" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjI1FW4ibGXAO9R6qf6NHUpB8TtdjQB5HNQEQcHS2e5bz6Eset1tAPWGnFDSC7-iojxMprwJxf5-x2Pmi9tKr-_yZEXXPmUVCalCSBLtCwQhc9KuzKwAgHUtCTunbjGjh-wlgHTKZ5RF6O4/s320/121908+065.JPG" /> <p align="center">She is so girly (<em>which terrifies me because I am not</em>!), and loves anything pink, or sparkly. Her favorite outfit is anything with her Tu-Tu over it, and puts on her "makeup" every morning with me. I know ...<em>4 going on 16</em>!! And yet she is the first one to play trucks with her brother, or be his practice goalie in the basement! <em>Also a little scary</em>!<br /></p><br /><p align="center"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 213px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 160px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5550383869465723090" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhH-7HUB5lEauYZYF38buyQAkm6Er5ekcU9_iOIvB30MuIkEjgAXZcyixulJHajp3HEVIhQkx495Ka5lMhuygii0bLnbbq1jYY8b73T-sXKaGCRh6MzMHQqN_zeMbNi-RKFUC4Xa9g0qsiz/s320/Syd.jpg" />We love her to pieces, and are so glad that the Lord decided we needed one more in our family! I said "let me see", and watched him <strong><em>barely</em></strong> wiggle his front tooth. I told him that maybe in a few days if he kept wiggling it that it would come out, told him goodnight, and went downstairs. </div><div align="center"> </div><div align="center">I poured myself a Diet Pepsi as congratulations to myself for getting everyone through one more day, and all in bed at a semi-decent time of night, and sat down in my chair to enjoy the rest of the evening with my hubby when I heard a yell from upstairs! Down the stairs flies Cody with blood all over his face, holding.... yep you guessed it! His <em>front tooth</em>!! I could <strong><em>NOT </em></strong>believe it! Seriously it was hardly moving ten minutes ago and now he had it in his hand! I asked him how he got it out, and he just shrugged and said "I just wiggled it, and twisted it till it came out!" <em>UGH</em>!! Never has a kid lost a tooth in that fast a time.... at least not in this house! </div><div align="center"> </div><div align="center">Jalon told him he was super tough, but to go wash the blood off his face! And the Tooth Fairy <span style="font-size:85%;">(<em>who Sydney informed me the next day was Daddy in her Tu-Tu... her yellow one to be exact!</em>)</span> left him fifty cents! What a great night huh?! At least Cody thought so! I am still in shock! But he does look pretty cute with one missing tooth right in the front, I might have to start singing <em>"All I want for Christmas is my two front teeth"</em>, but then he might decide to just pull out the other one!!<img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 214px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5546515408735437106" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj9oLRY8XBFkU9sP1oA9k90i7fxbPbJqT1ttOb5eJgqLOJ8f1Hq4SYaILmPJZ-edluAMn0DefXMnC03QvtjaX_0QmT7nWm6AveCQFMcYlZ6MmaJsMCZWhrQY5epinoAfXd4Qj01deTUnfDx/s320/IMG_4864.JPG" /></div><div align="center"> </div><div align="center"><em><span style="font-size:85%;"> it is not drool on his face... he was just that anxious for my to take his picture that it is water still running down his chin from the wash job!</span></em></div>Katiehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14313995332245238406noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6063029029681183296.post-80521532736210834142010-11-30T10:35:00.000-08:002010-11-30T11:55:36.105-08:00In the Christmas Spirit<div align="center">Thanksgiving is behind us now, and Christmas is coming faster than I can get ready!! But despite that, the kids have been having a ball getting things ready and playing in all the snow we have gotten lately! They also apparently like "hiding" each other in two sleds.... can you see Cody's feet sticking out from underneath Syd?! <a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiXXsfd29cS4HJUxsXyr0brWc8zQAPjBFOq3rlrRY51EmZQG31I4Yyfg-RBk7EQjjpXEkyP58L4UquRwq7Uci0W8duUYM0trAj2y3pebmlGlo-n0z1BP_wKdN4RIa5NIjiGU1doqk4H0azE/s1600/cody+ringin+bells+2.jpg"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 214px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 160px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5545422138370407074" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiXXsfd29cS4HJUxsXyr0brWc8zQAPjBFOq3rlrRY51EmZQG31I4Yyfg-RBk7EQjjpXEkyP58L4UquRwq7Uci0W8duUYM0trAj2y3pebmlGlo-n0z1BP_wKdN4RIa5NIjiGU1doqk4H0azE/s320/cody+ringin+bells+2.jpg" /></a> Cody and Briann went "Bell ringing" for the Salvation Army with Grandma the other night after school. They were so excited that they got their pot completely full, and got free hot cocoa from the Caribou Coffee place inside the grocery store! I did get asked if they could keep the money they made before hand, but after explaining that the money was used for a big holiday dinner for people who don't have anywhere to go for Christmas they were even more excited and eager to make more money! Made me tear up just a bit to hear Cody ask if there would be kids at the dinner and if they got any presents?! Cody had the honors this year of putting the star on the top of the tree, and even though it took us three or four trys we got it to stay <em><strong>finally</strong></em>!!<br /><br /><br /><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhwJlOBET8IodXqWxOg2TrZuxdsGKiAp8B3cqoul56_eocJoA0hWbrjldcq6-Z82Pt6N4UbGfbANd2HxW-TVW-MvOsKYxO1lnCpylNmc3U4IOynmz5-h-p5GCf1LbH6L6P9zOOl4k4RBX9-/s1600/IMG_4856.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 214px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 320px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5545421034967790866" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhwJlOBET8IodXqWxOg2TrZuxdsGKiAp8B3cqoul56_eocJoA0hWbrjldcq6-Z82Pt6N4UbGfbANd2HxW-TVW-MvOsKYxO1lnCpylNmc3U4IOynmz5-h-p5GCf1LbH6L6P9zOOl4k4RBX9-/s320/IMG_4856.JPG" /></a> Yes I realize that i have a total "mom tree", with all of the handmade kids ornaments from all of the school projects, and at home projects, but I figure I only have a few years when it will be like this! I love everyone else's perfect trees with all matching decorations, but I don't know what I would do with the candy cane reindeer, and gingerbread men of construction paper, or wreaths with kindergarten pictures in the middle?! Some year I will have the perfect, "department store" Christmas tree, but this year I am going to love my <em>"home-made"</em> tree :)</div><div> </div><div><span style="font-size:180%;"><span style="color:#ff0000;">Merry Christmas</span> Everyone, here's to hoping I'm ready when it actually gets here!! :)<br /></span><br /><br /><br /><br /><div></div></div></div></div><br /></div>Katiehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14313995332245238406noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6063029029681183296.post-18905673914062641212010-11-23T10:13:00.000-08:002010-11-23T10:29:16.775-08:00Better :)<div align="center">Guess who woke up this morning and didn't have a fever, or any body aches, or their chest hurting??
