So now, whenever you all decide to come and visit me, we can sit on my pretty chairs and sip strawberry lemonade! :)
Thing is, now he wants to take my beautiful table and have that distressed too, not sure about that as I have faithfully tried to keep trucks and pens and the sort out of little hands around it now for some time! I know Mom, we teased you about if for years and now I am doing it too! But what do you all think... should I let him, or what? Oh but the chairs are so pretty.... and I have been sitting in them all night, ...well until I came to tell you all about them! :)
PS the paper is Briann's project for school that she was working on right before bed. :)
LOVE THE CHAIRS!!!!! But I think I like the table the way it is. Guess I would have to see it though - I'm sure it would look good either way!
ReplyDeleteI love a distressed finish. Look really nice against your plumish purple walls too! Would he paint the table black, I'm assuming, and then distress? Kinda like the contrast, the way it is. Have to stop over sometime!
ReplyDeleteChrista beat me to LOVE THE CHAIRS!! but I do too!! We are still looking for a nice dining room table and chairs and just haven't come across one we NEED! haha.. I really like the distressed look.
ReplyDeleteTable would just get distressed with some glazing so the distressing shows up. I like the contrast too, saw one at the furniture store like this, but I have to say that Jalon's version is way better than the one we saw! And thanks for loving them with me!! :)
ReplyDeleteI'm with Jalon on this one. I do like the contrast - meaning keeping it stained, but I think it would look great distressed! Your house though, and I'm sure whatever you do, it will come together nicely. Now you just need a nice dustcloth for all of them. :) Tee hee! Coming Tuesday?
ReplyDeleteI love the chairs...but my vote is to keep the table the way it is....too much black in the room could take away from the beauty of the chairs and table...but then what do I know....not nearly as much as your dear husband and my dear son!
