Yep it has been ten years. Crazy how fast time seems to go by, and yet it seems like we have been together for forever!! I guess 3 kids, 3 houses, numerous vehicles, and recreational vehicles, one Harley, and to many dogs to count, do that to a couple!
Some days I don't know what I would do without him and other days I wonder what to do with him, but I do love him at the end of every day! We make a pretty good team if I do say so myself. We balance each other out, and can both be pretty stubborn (him more than me;) ) but we fit each other perfectly.
Ten years ago, it was snowing when I woke up, and my first thought was that my Dad had been right about having a wedding in March, "it was crazy"! It was pretty nice temperature wise for March, but was sorta overcast all day. I didn't care!
I remember rushing to get to the church on time, and then Lois kindly reminding me to eat something... I had a granola bar during pics. (I wish people had to remind me to eat now!) I remember my mom telling me to put on more lipstick, repeatedly. I remember Jalon's grandma Erma refusing to get out of the car when she discovered that she had on the same dress as my mom! She eventually did come in... after mom went out and told her to! HA!! I remember Anna's hair cause I loved it so much, and her being in tears about it.... the curlers were left in two minutes too long, and if you know Anna's hair, well lets just say her nickname as a little girls was "curly shirley" for a reason! It was a beautiful hot mess of curls in a ponytail! I loved it!!
I also remember Jalon saying I do, and us putting our rings on the wrong hands! I remember not being able to find my coat as we were leaving and putting on Jalon's leather coat for the cool ride to the reception. It is today my favorite picture of the day. Us getting into the pickup with me in his jacket. I also remember my very social butterfly of a husband (I am being sarcastic here!) whispering to me as they announced us at the reception, "how long do we have to stay?"!!
10 years is a long time, and yet such a short time! As the song at our wedding said...
Always Have, Always Will
Love you hunny!
